When Going West emerged in 2021 for a rare in-person gathering between covid lockdowns, I called on John to document the event photographically. I was thrilled he could make the trip to do the work. I knew of John's lengthy and diverse experience as a photojournalist (a couple of pictures from which adorn my own walls), and also that he'd photographed many great musical artists in Europe, and his skills in these areas enabled him to cover our event in style. He formed an immediate and easy rapport with both audience and talent, and this led to a very strong set of images. He worked very closely with me as the client in the photo edit, and that meant Going West got a very useful set of pictures that we've been able to use in a wide range of contexts ever since.

I have worked with John on a number of projects - pulling together campaign communications, graphics, strategy and media management for local government.

John is my go to photographer for any projects I have in the Central North Island and it's surrounds. John's years of experience, immaculate eye and framing creates images that highlight and add to any project.

I have also used John when I needed shots of my home to put it to market. The images and video are stunning.
